PSG and Bayern Munich - Match Review
Hello everyone. I watched Bayern Munich vs PSG yesterday and I want to tell you about this match.
I don't have favorite team between these two but I was very excited to watch. Both teams are very famous in Europe. Bayern Munich is German giant team, and PSG has many superstar players. When they play together, always something special happens.
What happened in the match
Bayern Munich was playing at home but PSG also came to fight. This was Champions League match. The Allianz Arena was full and atmosphere was crazy.
The match had many exciting moments:
- Doue scored first goal in 78th minute. Late goal but very important
- Dembele scored second goal in 90+6 minute. Perfect finish to seal victory
- Musiala got injured in 46th minute. Very sad to see him leave early
- Pacho got red card for roughing in 82nd minute. Big mistake from defender
- Many substitutions happened - Pavlovic, Coman, Muller all came in
Look at these numbers. PSG had 54% ball possession, Bayern had 46%. Also Expected Goals was 0.60 vs 2.01. Total shots were 13 vs 11. Numbers show PSG controlled ball more but Bayern created better chances.
PSG played 4-1-2-3 formation. You can see Doue, Kane, Musiala in attack. Bayern used 4-2-3-1 with Kimmich, Pavlovic, Coman. Both coaches had different tactical ideas.
I watched until final whistle because these teams never give up easily.
My thoughts about match
Some people maybe say PSG lost because they had one player less. But I think both teams played good football. PSG tried to keep ball but Bayern was more dangerous. That needs good tactics from both sides.
Doue and Dembele were very good for PSG yesterday. Even when Pacho got red card, PSG still tried to fight. But Bayern players - Kane, Kimmich, all team - they showed why they are strong at home.
When I see how PSG pressed in first half, how they created chances even with 10 men, how they never stopped trying... I think both teams showed good spirit. Now I understand why these matches are always exciting to watch.
What this means for football
PSG came into this match with good players. They controlled ball well and created some chances. They know how to play against big teams. But Bayern also showed they are very strong at home.
Yes PSG lost 2-0 but they played with 10 men for long time. Bayern used their advantage well. Both teams still have chance in return leg in Paris.
Maybe this red card will make PSG angry for next match. Sometimes when you lose like this, you come back stronger. When you play with one less player and still create chances, it shows good character.
I have to respect both teams after watching this match. Final score was 2-0 but PSG made it difficult until red card. After seeing how they played, I understand why both teams are in Champions League. The second leg in Paris will be must-watch for everyone.
