The Diary Game: Having A Proud Parent Moment Because Of My Son's Academic Achievement

A very beautiful day we have here steemit friends, do you know that writing about my day in this platform has helped me keep my day on check and know what I have been up to lately? I love this, I will keep doing this because I now have where to always go back and see how some days went.

Today's is friday and by that it was the final day of the session in my son's school, it was time for him to get his result and the parents were asked to come and listen to what the teachers had to say and the new improvements so far in the school. I went with my son and my lovely wife, when we arrived, my son was nervous, I know I promised to buy him a bicycle if he comes out first in his school.

When the result came out, he took second position, I wasn't disappointed because I'm the class of 28 students he was able to take second position, I was proud of him and I promised him I will take him out then I allowed him to go and play with other kids while we attended the parents and teacher's meeting, so many things were said but the highlight was on the relocation of the school to it permanent site and the new school uniform introduced by the school, all were wonderful improvements, I like the part that the school fees was reduced by 20% because they won't be paying rent again.

When we went back home, my wife left for her work, I was at home with my son, I gave him the day to be his free day so that he can play and have so much fun, I think we have made him read a lot during the session. The plates were dirty and un-arranged, so after washing the plates, I made sure the all dried up so I can arrange them back to their spot in the kitchen.

I was very tired after doing all the chores, I even had to cook for us to eat since my wife was still at work. I cooked small rice for me and my son to eat while we waited for mommy of the house to to come back from work so that she can cook soup for us

When my son finished eating rice, okay he did not eat much because he does not like rice, if that was spaghetti of garri with pears or groundnut, he would eat and lick plate, I went outside and bought garri and groundnut and came back and soaked it for him to eat.

When he finished, I bathing him so that we can go to the shop together in order for me to go and give my customer's clothes and also take him out and buy things for him just as I have promised.

I dressed him up and after we finished dressing, the customer transferred the money to me and told me that he won't be able to come that I should bring it to his house, he paid with logistics so I went there with my son and delivered the clothes then we went to the nearby supermarket to buy my son his toy.

We trekked back home together, it was a father and a son time so I took selfies so that I can go and show my wife that we had fun outside while going out with my boy. I bought my wife a loaf of bread so that she can allow us rest.

After we came back home, I ate the okra soup my wife cooked then I bathed and bathed my son then watched his cartoon with him till I slept off and left them in the parlour, I was called by my wife to go to the room and sleep and I did.
