Hello my dear Steemians,

Returning back to the days in Amsterdam I have made couple of more pictures and here two that I really love, the reasons are such narrow old street always bring me back to the old movies about the time many centuries bago. The time when people just walked and used wood and coal for their heating but I believe they still had such beautiful decoration of their entrances and windows with plants. That usually make them lively, maybe because of the wind when blowing through gives an impression of live.

Actually I always think that if I would live in a big city it will be looking like this street.

Wow, @stef1, these Amsterdam street scenes are absolutely captivating! The way you've captured the narrow streets and the vibrant plant life really transports us back in time. I love how you've articulated the feeling of stepping into an old movie – that's exactly the vibe I get too!

The contrast between the historical architecture and the lively greenery is just stunning. It's easy to see why these streets resonate with you. The thought of living in a city that looks like this is incredibly appealing.

Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos and your reflections on them. It's a beautiful glimpse into a timeless aesthetic. Do you have any favourite historical periods that influence your appreciation of these scenes? What other cities evoke the same feelings for you?

Amsterdam has long been one of my favourite European cities; so much attention given to maintaining the old buildings and traditions without allowing too much modern sprawl to take over.

Of course, there are also districts in Copenhagen that are largely untouched since the 1700s, but they are few.

Hope you are staying well, this summer!
